Dr Anu Gupta
Co-Founder and CardiologistDr Anu Gupta actively involved in cardiology research and education, contributing to both local and international clinical trials. He is committed to evidence-based practice and participant safety, he works closely with the research team to ensure high-quality trial conduct. Through this work Dr Gupta supports RRIs mission to expand access to clinical research opportunities for regional and remote Australians.
Melissa Riedy
Co-Founder and Operations Lead
Mel Riedy is Co-Founder and Operations Lead of the Regional Research Institute, committed to delivering high-quality, sustainable clinical research in regional Australia. Mel is passionate about improving equitable access to clinical trials for all Australians.
Investigators
Dr Robert Gluer
Dr Robert Gluer is a general cardiologist with a sub-specialty interest in echocardiography. He completed his advanced training in cardiology at The Prince Charles Hospital in 2016, being awarded his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians, prior to taking up a post at Toowoomba Base Hospital as a Consultant Cardiologist.
Dr Gluer is an experienced researcher who believes that location shouldn’t be a barrier to accessing clinical trials.
Dr Abdul Mohammed
Dr Mohammed is an experienced researcher in both local and international clinical trials. His interests are in regional health and delivering clinical trials to regional Australians.

Liv is passionate about making research more accessible and helping regional patients benefit from innovative treatments closer to home. She supports participants throughout their research journey, ensuring safe, ethical and compassionate care while contributing to high-quality clinical trial delivery.
India Rixon
India works closely with investigators and participants to ensure a positive research experience and help bring innovative treatments closer to patients homes. She supports the safe and ethical delivery of research while providing compassionate, participant-centered care.
